About Tales From a Wedding Day
Tales From A Wedding Day is the second book in the Tales From series -
and was published on 4 September 2008.
Today is the big day – Abbie Vincent’s best friend, Samantha Patterson, is
getting married! As chief bridesmaid, Abbie’s taking her duties very seriously,
and she’s utterly determined that the wedding will go off without any hitches.
However, with Sam’s good-intentioned (if overbearing) parents, her obnoxious
teenage sister and her brother’s tantrum-prone little boy to keep in check,
disaster is only a heartbeat away. And to top it off, though Abbie’s never
forgiven their old best friend’s betrayal, Sam has some misguided notion of
burying the hatchet by inviting her to the wedding.
It’s supposed to be the bride who gets nervous before the big day, but
unlucky-in-love Abbie’s on tenterhooks in case anything goes wrong. In fact,
she’s so busy ensuring everything runs smoothly, she hasn’t time to notice that
the blushing bride might not be the only one attracting attention …
Olivia says:
The story of Tales From A Wedding Day takes place over 24 hours, beginning in
the early hours of the wedding day – with a whole set of warm, funny, lovable
characters to get to know! Abbie, the chief bridesmaid, is a quiet, caring girl
whose friendship with the extrovert Sam is central to her life – but she’s never
quite got to grips with Sam’s crazy family. There’s plenty of humour, but also
some very tender and poignant moments during the course of the day.
